Use Your Passion to Turn Pictures into Photographs
Creative Photography Rocks
You don’t need an expensive camera to enjoy creative photography. If you own a thousand dollar camera, however, you may have the equipment to let your creativity go absolutely crazy. But if your camera is an inexpensive digital camera, an older version film device or even your cell phone, you have the potential to capture some wonderfully creative images.

Select a narrow location
For instance, you could choose the bathroom in your home, a street corner near you or even a single tree alone in a field as your subject of interest. By focusing (no pun intended) on a narrow topic, your mind can see many more possibilities of unique photographs.
There are some common techniques you can start with to make creative photography part of your life.
change the angle of you camera
shoot from very low to the ground
try different times of the day when shadows abound
bring unusual objects into the scene
get really close to narrow sections of the area
Play with your pets
Animal pictures can provide many interesting opportunities for creativity. Photographs of them sleeping, eating or romping around can become unusally creative. Pets interacting with one another bring another possibility into play.
Learn from others
Visit an art show or art museum where there may be some highly creative photography on display. Analyze the photographs from your own perspective, then keep thinking, “I could do something like that.”
There are also many good books on creative photography, along with classes or lessons that you can take advantage of.
Team up with friends
Forming or joining a photography club can help maintain your interest and enthusiasm. Even choosing one friend and going on photography expeditions can produce fantastic results.
Be prepared
Always keep your camera with you, since sometimes those unplanned moments create the most intriguing, never repeatable, moments. It can be very frustrating to see a once-in-a-lifetime photo sitting there… and your camera is home, or worse yet, in your hand with a run-down battery.
Most importantly, if you want to take memorable and creative photographs, you have to start! Make up your mind to do that which you keep talking about.
